Matt Riddell

Captain

Growing up at Balmoral Beach on Sydney Harbour, Matt developed a love of anything marine from an early age. Learning to sail at age eight and windsurfing every day possible, each summer.

After leaving school early he decided to train as a helicopter pilot, then as a copywriter in advertising until finally settling on a career at sea. By his early twenties, he landed his first professional Captains job running a flotilla around the Ionian Islands – Greece.

By his late twenties he was selected to Skipper ‘SAMSUNG’ in the 04/05 Global Challenge yacht race sailing around the world with an amateur crew of seventeen. Additionally, he has over twenty years of experience in the luxury charter industry operating worldwide.
While onboard M/Y Sirenuse, he will work closely with Peta and the team to facilitate a truly memorable guest experience.

Peta Harding

Chief Stewardess

Peta grew up on Sydney’s Northern Beaches where she spent her childhood on camping adventures by the coast. Peta’s journey into the world of yachting began with a curiosity about diverse cultures and a longing to explore the world. This drive led her to the South of France, where she embarked on her career in the industry.

Fuelled by her passion for the fast-paced and dynamic yachting world, Peta traversed the globe, immersing herself in a multitude of experiences. she worked on an array of yachts, ranging from 37 meters to an impressive 99 meters in size.

In addition to her endeavours in the yachting industry, Peta’s diverse career path led her to serve as a Private Jet Hostess for one of her owners. This role offered her a unique perspective on luxury travel, further honing her skills in hospitality and client service.

In her free time Peta loves soaking up the sunshine, snorkelling at beaches and horse riding in the countryside as well exploring the culinary and mixology scenes of her city.

While onboard M/Y Sirenuse Peta is your go to for ensuring you have everything you desire to make your experience comfortable.

Grace Shepherd

Second Stewardess

Grace always dreamt of travelling to new and exciting parts of the world and soon found herself employed on a yacht in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. 2019 was an exciting year for her kickstarting her three-year journey in the superyacht industry and travelling to locations such as the Bahamas, Mexico, Italy and Spain.

She has worked on private yachts ranging from 62-82m yachts and is now excited to continue her career in her home country.

Grace enjoys spending quality time with friends and family, hiking in nature and reading a good book in the sunshine.

Grace will be available to tend to all your needs with a smile on her face and ensure you have the ultimate experience on-board M/Y Sirenuse.

Tim Smit

Deckhand

Tim was born in Johannesburg and immigrating to Auslia at the age of 5, spent his formative years on the dynamic North Shore. Immersed in the coastal lifestyle, he found solace in the outdoors and developed a love for water-centric activities, particularly surfing. Weekends were often spent at the beach, while rugby became a cherished pastime.

While embracing his outdoor passions, Tim also delved into the world of carpentry and construction, mastering various aspects of the trades. This foundation laid the groundwork for his professional journey and ignited his enthusiasm for craftsmanship.

Tim’s love for the water went beyond the coastline. He took on many boat deliveries, sailing from his hometown to Queensland and Adelaide. These journeys improved his seamanship skills and strengthened his bond with maritime life.

Motivated by his love for both carpentry and the sea, Tim aspires to merge these passions in his career as a deckhand. Tim aims to combine his skills and enthusiasm as a deckhand, enhancing the experience for everyone on board.
